Now that Spring is in the air, we in Rainelle would like to let folks know about some of the attractions that the town and surrounding areas have to offer.

Big and Little Clear Creeks- Stocked several times during the spring and fall. Both creeks are very accessible and offer trout fishing areas. Perpendicular to Rt. 60, Rupert.

Appalachian Waters Scenic Byway/Route 39- Traversing Rt. 39 from Lexington, VA to Summersville, WV, this scenic byway includes Summit Lake in northern Greenbrier County. They byway is appropriately named due to the many lakes, rivers, streams, and freshwater springs that greet you along the way. Majestic mountains and forests, hitoric treasures and natural wonders also line its path. See more at Scenic39.com.

Greenbrier Hills Golf Course- A 9-hole, par 70 course located on the western end of Greenbrier County on Rt. 60. Tennis courts also available. Open to the public. Rt. 60 W, Rainelle. Call 304-438-9050 or 304-667-9233.

Meadow Creek- Stocked once per month, February through May. This creek offers muskie and large mouthbass fising. Perpendicular to Rt. 60, west of Crawley.

Midland Trail-Route 60- This National Scenic Byway is the main street through several Greenbrier couty communities, including Rainelle, Rupert, Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs. Drive Route 60 for 180 miles of small town charm, fabulous vistas, world-class rafting, ourtdoor fun, artisans and pioneer history. 866-ROUTE-60 or MidlandTrail.com

Sam Black United Methodist Church-Built in 1901 and dedicated in memory of the Rev. Sam Black (1813-99), a longstanding Methodist Church rider, the church, a spiritual landmark, became an established name on highay maps even without an established post office. Rt. 60 E at the I-64 Sam Black Church exit #156.

Western Greenbrier Swimming Pool- Public swimming pool located behind Rainelle Town Hall which offers a slide, diving board and baby pool. Open Mon-Sat. 11-6 and Sun. 1-6 Memorial Day-Labor Day.
